Biodynamic Farmer Opening

Finca Sagrada Biodynamic community farm, in the mountains of southern Ecuador is looking for a gardener with the following qualifications.

• Be passionate about Biodynamic farming.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Have practical gardening skills.

• Loves teaching and leading workshops.

• Enjoys living and working in a community setting.

• Children are welcome.

Finca Sagrada has been in existence for sixteen years. Recently we changed our legal status to become an SAS (LLC in USA terms) which has allowed it to expand to have community members. We are growing and have ten members, of all ages, economic levels, beliefs and nationalities.

Walter Moora, one of the founders, has been a Biodynamic farmer for over fifty years and is retiring from active farming.

Our new farmer would manage the gardens and teach the apprentice program and Biodynamic workshops that we are developing. Our experience is that there is an appreciation and interest in Latin America for Biodynamic farming. With the right farmer we could become a learning center for Biodynamic farming.

Payment: The farmer would be part of the community. We work out of brotherhood in the economic realm, based on Rudolf Steiner's Threefold Social Order.

Finca Sagrada is more than just a farm. We are a diverse community that is feeling its way into the new earth consciousness, that is just around the corner.
