Our Farm in Action
Finca Sagrada has diversified 20 acres of irrigated pastures, food forest and gardens plus an additional 800 acres of mountain land, bounded by a river and stream. We grow our fruits and vegetables following several methods including Biodynamic Farming, Permaculture, Agroecology and Indigenous practices. The food is ‘organic’ but not bound by any one methodology. We implement humanure, worm composting, biochar and various other methods to create a more self-sufficient, zero waste ecology.

What We Grow

Native foods such as yucca, guayusa, turmeric, coffee, white carrots, sweet potatoes and secana squash thrive. A wide range of temperate vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, beets, carrots and cabbage grow well. Some of our food forest offerings include avocados, papayas, bananas, passion fruit, tangerines, oranges and lemons and soapberries.

Animals & Wildlife
Cows, donkeys, a horse, goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys are a vital part of the farm eco-system. On our reforested mountain, Kuntur Wachana, there have been sightings of species threatened by habitat loss and poaching – such as the Andean Fox and the Red Pine Deer.
