A Glimpse of Our Mountain Sanctuary
Nestled in Ecuador’s “Valley of Longevity” near Vilcabamba, Finca Sagrada (meaning “Sacred Farm”) is our 20-acre home at the base of an 800-acre mountain we’re actively reforesting with local partners.
Our Living Farm: We blend diverse approaches to create abundance without depleting resources. Our gardens, food forests, and animals form an integrated system that nourishes both the land and our community. What makes our approach different? We listen to the land itself, combining indigenous wisdom with practical ecological methods.
Our Surroundings: Vilcabamba (45 minutes away) offers markets, cafés, and services in a region known for its healthy elderly residents and perfect year-round climate (65-80°F). The surrounding mountains, including Podocarpus National Park, create our stunning daily backdrop.
Our People: We’re farmers, healers, digital nomads, educators, and artists who’ve chosen to create a different way of living together. Each person brings their unique gifts while supporting our shared vision of regenerative community.

Our Community Members
Angela Burton – Transitioned from 45 years in British Columbia to create environments where nature and humanity flourish together in Ecuador.
Jon & Satya Love – This dynamic couple combines experience in organizational transformation and community building to help create more harmonious ways of living.
The Thompsons – Nick, Mel, and their four children (Walter, Raina, Penny and June) bring Canadian homesteading experience and a philosophy centered on intentional connection and joyful living.
The Trews – John (retired Air Force veteran) and Lexi (former photographer) moved from Texas with their young children Grace and Theo in 2024. Their hands-on approach to land stewardship and artistic documentation adds both practical skills and creative energy to our mountain sanctuary.
